Bryan Marvel, Senior Pastor

Bryan joined the Meadowbrook staff in 2016. Along with being Meadowbrook's lead teacher, he also oversees the overall vision and direction of the church in collaboration with the elder team.

Bryan is passionate about connecting the transforming power of the gospel to people's everyday life.

When he's not pastoring you can find him at a local coffee shop reading and writing for his blog (bryanmarvel.com).

He's been married to his wife Becky since 2005. They have three girls Kate, Emma, and Lucy.

Jen Akin, Director of NextGen Ministries &   Communications

Jen joined the staff at Meadowbrook in 2009 and serves as the Director of NextGen Ministries, overseeing children and students from birth through senior high. She also leads the Communication Team. She has been married to her husband, Steve, since 1996, and they have two boys.

Jen is passionate about connecting children and students with Jesus.  She wants them to personally discover who Jesus is and how they are part of the grand story of God.  She deeply desires that they become his followers not just because we teach about him, but because they have also experienced his life-changing love and grace for themselves.  Jen invests in families of all kinds, encouraging, equipping and supporting them with opportunities and resources.

Ben Baumann, Director of Worship and Hospitality

Ben has been Meadowbrook’s Director of Worship since 2013. He oversees the Celebration Team and the Hospitality Team, and he serves on the Communications Team as well.  Ben is passionate about growing people through the gift of music.  He and his wife, Stephanie, also lead a small group in their home. They have been married since 2002 and have two kids Ella, Eli.

Kraig Sorvick, NextGen Assistant

Kraig joined the Meadowbrook Staff team in March of 2015 as the NextGen Assistant. He leads the Middle and High School youth groups.   Graduating in 2015, Kraig has degrees in both Hebrew and Religious Studies.   He is married to his high school sweetheart, Kelsey and in his free time you’ll find Kraig with friends, reading, kayaking and watching movies.

Kraig believes that when we invest in our students, we are investing in the next generation of Christ-followers.  It is the mission of NextGen ministry to serve and influence students, inviting them into what it means to be a fully devoted follower of Christ.
